At 22.06 km, it's the longest stage in the rally. ER 201, also known as Caminho dos Pretos, is the "cathedral" of Madeira rallies, and in the past, few events didn't include it. It runs uphill between Palheiro Ferreiro and Terreiro da Luta, with a route that almost perfectly blends fast sections with those requiring high skill. After Terreiro da Luta, there's the climb to the South Gate of Chão da Lagoa, the passage through Funchal Ecological Park, and the quick descent from the North Gate of Chão da Lagoa to Poiso. Since 2024, it has become ER 108, and this year it descends almost to Ribeiro Frio.

From Funchal: via the São João Latrão Trail, via Rua Nova Curral dos Romeiros, and in Choupana, via the Meio e Terço Trails, and Terreiro da Luta (Emergency Exit) via ER 103. From Camacha, Poiso (Emergency Exit) via ER 203, and the Chão da Lagoa South Gate via ER 203 and ER 103.
