Club Sports da Madeira, the event’s organiser, has received 89 entries for the next edition of Rali da Madeira, which takes place between 30 July and 1 August.

This field, which includes 22 teams from outside Madeira and 67 local teams, is surprising and exceeds the limit of 75 set out in Article 4.3 of the event’s specific regulations.

In this context, for reasons of safety and to ensure the smooth running of the event, the organisers will carry out a detailed assessment of the competitors and vehicles and select those to be included on the entry list

Priority will be given to, and participation guaranteed for, competitors with cars holding valid FIA homologation and drivers ranked in the Portuguese and Madeiran championships for this discipline, provided their cars meet these conditions. In addition to these, competitors with RGT cars that are FIA and/or FPAK-eligible, or so-called ‘show drivers’, will also be taken into account in the selection process due to their contribution to the spectacle of the event and the enthusiasm they generate amongst the numerous and passionate Madeiran fans of the sport.
